Having lived in an urban city all my life, nature was something I didn't have access to. My love for these gracious wild crawlers started when I moved to Goa in search of peace during Covid lockdown and found myself around the serendipitous environment where human population for a change is one with nature, embracing everything the forest has to provide. Snakes being one of them.
I now think a little influence from the European serpent door knockers was something I brought back from that summer spent in Florence back in 2016, immersing myself into the history of design. The story of Adam and Eve and the serpent and the spiritual symbolizing of snakes they both speak of these creatures in different light. To me, snakes are a gracious species with immense intelligence that we must learn to co-exist with.
