At Selves, we want you to celebrate that victory.
Feet-Up is a miniature table object that inquires into these prejudices and discriminations. It is a symbol of reclaimed spaces and rights.
Place them in your personal spaces that you have reclaimed, whether it is from society or your past selves.
It all started in 2019, with throwing the idea to a friend of wanting to do a product that speaks of winning over traumas caused by taboos and stereotypes. Feet, naturally part of our bodies, have been subject to so many of these taboos and seen in a different light of both glory and disrepute.
My love for this piece is never ending. Everyone who's been a part of the journey knows the yearning and work it took to get this one right and out.
It took me 2 years to understand how to produce them and it took a village to help me get them right.
